About the Role:

As a Licensed Respiratory Therapist, you'll play a key role in assessing patient needs, selecting appropriate equipment, providing instruction, and troubleshooting any issues. You'll be a vital link between patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers, ensuring seamless care coordination.

What You'll Do:

Train and assist with the daily operations of Respiratory Therapy, including vents, patient intake, coverage, and quality assurance at existing and new locations.
Receive and document orders for equipment and services from referral sources, physicians, patients, family members, or caregivers.
Gather necessary information and authorizations.
Assess patient needs and recommend the best equipment and services.
Involve patients and their families/caregivers in the selection process.
Instruct patients on the proper use and care of equipment.
Communicate patient condition changes and needs to physicians and implement care plan adjustments.
Travel to various branches as needed to support the business and patients.
Track and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for respiratory equipment.
Assist with scheduled visits for patients receiving oxygen therapy.
Complete patient paperwork, including Plans of Care and Home Assessments.
Act as a liaison between the company, patients, families, caregivers, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
Conduct and participate in educational meetings and seminars.
Assist with referrals to community agencies.
Develop and implement discharge plans.
Maintain professional skills and attitudes.
Inform the branch manager of any concerns or problems.
Stay up-to-date on third-party reimbursement, criteria services, billing, patient paperwork, and available equipment.
Be available to work after normal business hours and on weekends.
Oversee all clinical functions performed by the company.
Perform all job functions in alignment with company mission, vision, and goals.
Maintain a flexible attitude and take on extra tasks as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:

High degree of integrity.
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
Respiratory care and/or home care experience.
Thorough knowledge of the Home Medical Equipment field.
Ability to manage all respiratory products.
Ability to understand and address the needs and concerns of others.
Genuine desire to help others.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational, customer service, and time management skills.
Ability to work with a diverse customer base.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility.
Eligibility to work in the United States.
Schedule:

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week), generally 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday. On-call rotation and overtime as needed.
