• Partner with hiring managers to gain insight into their hiring needs and create detailed job descriptions and criteria
• Utilize a range of recruitment methods to locate and attract competent applicants, such as job boards, social media, industry events, and specialized resources
• Analyze resumes and applications, conduct initial screenings, and partake in phone and face-to-face interviews to check candidates' qualifications and fit with the organization's culture
• Manage and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and help in the assessment and choice process
• Undertake comprehensive references and background checks on possible applicants
• Administer the applicant tracking system and track accurate and up-to-date candidate documents
• Team up with the HR team to devise and put into practice recruitment plans, such as employer branding tactics and talent acquisition programs
• Take part in career fairs, sector conferences, and other recruitment activities to promote Sugar Creek Transportation as an employer of choice
• Stay abreast of industry trends, recruiting best practices, and legal regulations to maintain compliance and optimize recruitment plans
• Provide regular updates and progress on recruitment activities to management

Qualifications:

• Possess relevant certifications
• Demonstrate previous experience, with a minimum of two years as a Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist, preferably in the trucking/logistics industry
• Possess extensive knowledge of recruiting techniques, tools, and strategies
• Have familiarity with recruiting systems and HRIS technologies
• Show superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to form robust relationships with potential candidates and internal stakeholders
• Demonstrate adept interviewing and evaluation abilities, with the capacity to gauge applicants' qualifications and potential
• Embody professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
• Possess a proactive mindset with a passion for results, along with the aptitude to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills
