Maui Preparatory Academy, a premier independent college preparatory school located on the beautiful island of Maui, is seeking a passionate and dynamic Middle and Upper School Math and Physics Teacher to join our exceptional team.

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated educator who will:

  • Teach math and physics courses to students in grades 6-12, including introductory, advanced, and AP-level classes.
  • Foster a love of problem-solving, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry.
  • Incorporate technology, collaborative learning, and hands-on experiments to create a student-centered classroom.
  • Serve as an advisor and mentor, supporting students' academic and personal growth.
  • Participate actively in school life, including events, extracurricular activities, and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Physics, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an independent school setting.
  • Expertise in teaching a range of math and physics courses, including AP-level content.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
