Job Overview
Responsible for maintenance and inspection of City Transit and Paratransit bus fleet including our new electric buses. Working at the state-of-the-art CTtransit Waterbury Bus Maintenance Facility. Also known as Connecticut Transit or CT Transit. Critical in making sure vehicles are maintained and safe on the road.
Wages
$29.65 to $34.75 per hour based on knowledge, and experience.
Up to an additional $2.75 per hour with completion of select ASE and/or Welding certifications.
Mechanics that show skill can be promoted to higher classifications at the discretion of management at any time.
Full-time position minimum of 40 hours per week.
Expected schedule: Unknown subject to bidding per union contract

Requirements
Interested candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in mechanics field. Transit experience is a plus. Experience with Cummins engines, Allison transmission, and Ford E series is a plus.
