Posting Date: Job Schedule: Locations: Degree Level: Job Description: What We Are Looking For The Assistant Director of Community Partnership supports the University mission through several avenues. The position provides leadership for BUCC through participation on the Leadership Team and administrative supervision for staff. The position provides vision, strategy and implementation steps to partner with campus and community stakeholders to provide for mental health needs of students. The Assistant Director of Community Partnership provides direct and indirect mental health related services to Baylor students and BUCC trainees. By fostering the healthy functioning of BUCC and the training program, and providing direct service to students, this position fosters mental health and wholeness for BU students and trainees.
All applicants must be independently licensed as a mental health professional for at least three years, and license eligible in Texas. A Master's degree and three years of relevant work experience are required. A Doctoral degree and five years of relevant work experience are preferred.
All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. What You Will Do Direct BUCC efforts to build and maintain community partnerships
- Develop and manage collaborative relationships between the Baylor University Counseling Center, stakeholders in Baylor University and external community organizations
- Enhance student mental health services through strategic partnerships, outreach initiatives, and community engagement
- Lead innovative programs to respond to student needs based on mental health trends nationally and within Baylor campus
- Work closely with campus stakeholders and local entities to integrate resources, coordinate programs, and promote mental wellness
- Ensure regular updates related to community partnerships
- Oversight of BUCC Community Partnerships, including administrative supervision for the Coordinator of Outreach/Community Partnership
Provide administrative leadership
- Serve on the Leadership Team of BUCC
- Provide administrative supervision to staff
- Lead and/or support staff meetings, committees, planning and vision efforts, annual goal setting, BUCC data collection and assessment efforts, and the work of the center as appropriate
- Participate in national conferences, organizational membership, and listservs related to Outreach and University Counseling Center work
Provide clinical services
- Provide individual, couples and group therapy, crisis intervention, consultation, and appropriate referrals as needed
- Supervise mental health trainees
- Maintain adequate counseling records and files, including for supervision provided
- Exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty and staff of many social, economic, cultural, ideological, racial and ethnic backgrounds
Other duties
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
- Comply with university policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
