PokerNews is looking for an Editor & Digital Media Exec (US) based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Specializing in high-quality content for millions of users around the globe, PokerNews is the world’s leading authority on all things' poker. The site provides a range of daily news, reviews and strategies, and prides itself on comprehensive live coverage of poker events from all corners of the world. Attracting both new and experienced players alike, our customers also find outstanding videos, podcasts, poker room reviews, and much, much more

What you’ll do:

Working closely with the Digital Media Manager and Managing Editor, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality, compelling, and engaging content that captivates millions of poker enthusiasts around the world. As Editor & Digital Media Exec., you will contribute to the overall PokerNews end-to-end content production as an editor, digital creator, and live event reporter.

You have your finger on the pulse regarding all things' poker, know the niche by heart, and love to be on the road to attend poker events across the world. The PokerNews team brings fans live coverage from the biggest poker events in the world and is the Live Reporting partner of the World Series of Poker.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Contribute to the overall PokerNews end-to-end content production by crafting compelling, engaging and high-quality editorial and digital content in line with the PokerNews tone of voice

Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm and develop new editorial and video ideas, formats, and series that resonate with the poker community

Assist the SEO Specialist in providing SEO-optimized content for poker (and other gaming verticals such as casino) across key markets around the world

Attend live events across the globe to provide real-time editorial and digital coverage of live events as they happen

Edit digital (video/social media) content for collaborators across content, commercial and marketing

Take content ideas from inception to distribution across multiple platforms

Repurpose other content and rework into usable content on short-form social platforms (Reels, YT Shorts, TikTok)

Incorporate graphics, animations, and other visual elements to improve video storytelling and communicate key information effectively

What you’ll bring:

We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic content creator with an interest in and passion for poker. You love to hit the road and travel worldwide to bring the story to live. You’re a self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with other partners across various time zones. You’re able to use all forms of content distribution to appeal to consumer interests while maintaining brand consistency.

Knowing the poker niche in and out is considered a strong plus. You are proactive when it comes to chasing stories and are self-managing. Excellent English writing skills are a necessity, as well as competence in a suite of digital editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, and more.

Solid understanding of SEO and/or the ability write on a deeper strategic level are considered a plus, as is previous live event experience.
