Care & Comfort Veterinary Hospital is now hiring a Room Technician/Assistant to join our AMAZING team!

A veterinary room nurse supports our clients, patients, technicians and veterinarians in exams and
treatments. The Room Nurse get patient history from owner, vitals signs, assists with animal restraint, housekeeping, client communication an education. A Room Nurse supports both veterinary technicians and veterinarians in daily patient care. They communicate with clients in person and by phone .

The ideal candidate:

• has 1 year experience in the veterinary field
• possesses exceptional customer service skills
• works well on a team as well as independently
• has excellent communications skills
• knowledge of common diseases, their symptoms and means of transmission
• knowledge of preventative health care recommendations to answer questions and assist in
  marketing veterinary services from which clients’ pets would benefit

Job Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

• getting patient history and vital signs 
• going over recommended treatment plans and estimates
• filling prescriptions
• invoicing and payments 
• scheduling appointments 
• administering medications and vaccines
• cleaning kennels, exam rooms, treatment areas, etc
