Unarmed Licensed School Security Guard - Winter Park, FL $15 per hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our schools and their property. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Guard will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall safety of the premises and students.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unauthorized activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies..
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety compliance.
• Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Document incidents, write reports, and maintain accurate logs of daily activities.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary and assist in investigations related to security breaches.
• Manage conflicts effectively, employing conflict management techniques when dealing with difficult situations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not required.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
• MUST  purchase a badge that authorizes you to work inside the school system.  Cost is $92.50. This will not be paid by the company, this will be paid by the applicant. Having this badge allows you to work at any school in the county and also allows opportunities to work in Food Service, Custodial and Security.
• MUST have Security License. (D License)
• Must pass level 2 background check,  MUST have clean criminal record.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
