We are seeking an experienced CPA to join our team with a focus on tax expertise for high-net-worth individuals and their closely held businesses. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional tax services with an emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, and maximizing profitable outcomes for clients. Key Responsibilities:
Work with a team of experienced CPAs to prepare and review tax returns for small to mid-sized, closely held businesses and individual clients, ensuring deadlines are met.
Collaborate with team members and independently manage tax deliverables including compliance, tax planning, advisory services, and tax research.
Handle workpaper documentation, client points, working trial balances, journal entries, year-end planning, and client-specific advisory services.
Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and apply relevant IRS rules and regulations.
Become proficient in utilizing firm technology, tax software, and research tools for effective tax service delivery.
Ensure work meets the firm's standards for quality and compliance with professional conduct and tax regulations.
Required Qualifications:
Active CPA license (applications without a CPA certificate will not be considered).
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
Minimum of five years of experience in tax-related work within public accounting.
Strong background in tax compliance, accounting for income tax, and a broad understanding of U.S. taxation.
Experience with individual and business entity tax preparation and accounting.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
Strong decision-making skills and initiative.
Ability to thrive under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and strong client service orientation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), with experience in UltraTax CS and/or QuickBooks a plus.
