Hubbard Family Swim School is a family owned and operated year round indoor swim school. Hubbard provides swim lessons that build confidence and teach water safety skills in a child-centered environment. Our international reputation for excellence in teaching has grown as a result of our passion for teaching and our learn-to-swim techniques. We love teaching and developing every student in our pool. Everyday there is a new success story, a new smile and a chance to make a difference in a child’s life.

Four valley locations: Phoenix, Peoria, Mesa, Goodyear

No experience required, but always recommended! 

You do not need to be an experienced swimmer. Hubbard Family Swim School trains our staff to teach swim lessons including paid in person & online trainings.

The swim instructor is responsible for the safety of each class and teaching swim lessons to students. The swim instructors works to build confidence for students in the water, using the Hubbard curriculum.  They are able to communicate with students and staff members. Swim instructors welcome feedback and are a continuous learner.  They will report to the Deck Supervisor and Site Supervisor during shifts and provide support throughout the pool deck as needed.

• Ability to work with small group classes (up to 4 children) or individual classes (1 on 1).

Key Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, crouch or swim for up to 5 hours in the water
• Ability to lift, hold, and/or move equipment or small child up to 50 pounds
• Can commit to a minimum of 1 year and at least 2 shifts per week
• Some afternoon and weekend shifts may be required
• Willingness to go underwater

Compensation: $15.00 - $21.50 per hour

We work to build smiles, confidence and success.  Our half-an-hour, once-a-week, swim lesson philosophy works! We love to see the swimmers who consistently attend their weekly class become comfortable, confident and skilled in the water.

Year-round employment

Hours (vary by location)

Monday-Friday: 9AM - 2PM, 3PM - 7:30PM

Saturday: 8AM - 1PM

Sunday: 9:30AM - 1PM, 2PM - 5PM

Year round employment, minimum of 1 year of commitment

Minimum 2 shifts per week

Schedule is set by staffing season (Jan-May, June-Aug, Aug-Dec)

Afternoons and weekends required

No teaching experience necessary, we provide training

Part and full time available

Member schools are independently owned and operated. Your application will go directly to the member school, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of this school.
