Job Description

The Hyatt Place Columbus OSU is seeking a shuttle driver / houseperson to join our team and support the Grandview Yard collective. If you have a great personality and excellent people skills, this is a great opportunity for you. This is a dual role performing both shuttle driver duties and houseperson duties while not operating the company shuttle.  Weekend Availability is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

Shuttle Driver

• Provides excellent customer service ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Transports guest to/from destinations safely and as needed.
• Provides guests with local directions in a courteous and accurate manner.
• Ensures guest belongings are properly tagged and secured.
• Operates the shuttle in a courteous manner, ensuring the safety of the guest.
• Assist incoming and outgoing guests by transporting luggage/baggage to and from the guest rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles.
• Must be able to work on your feet (standing, walking, climbing) for entire shift while enduring the elements - this could include extreme heat/cold, rain, snow, wind, etc.
• Must maintain a professional appearance.

Houseperson

• Attend to lobby and public spaces to ensure cleanliness including public / team member restrooms and refuse.
• Attend to linen needs by preparing/ sorting dirty laundry, stocking clean linens in closets, and organizing laundry area.
• Clean, organize and stock all linen closets.
• Stock and organize housekeeping supply room, housekeeping supplies, and guest supplies.
• Perform projects assigned daily in response to Management / Supervisor request.

Required Skills:

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to drive automatic transmission vehicles of all sizes with ease.

Required Experience:

• Minimum one year customer service experience is required.
• Previous shuttle or large vehicle experience is required.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of the area and attractions within the city.
