In your role as Security Officer, you will act in accordance wtih the following: 

• To protect all River LINE buildings, grounds, and equipment; including the contents, occupants, contractors, customers and visitors; 

• To enforce the rules and regulations governing the facilities in a non-bias professional manner; 

• To patrol remote locations like the Haines MOW Yard in Pennsauken, the Burlington Storage Siding, the old Burlington Station offices and the Trenton Layover Facility as needed; and 

• To carry out all orders given by the Road Foreman of Engines.

Midnight Shift Duty assignment requirements: 

Security Officers will conduct interior and exterior foot and motorized patrol rounds at the Trenton Layover Facility, Burlington Bridge Office, Burlington City Yard, Pennsauken Transit Center, Camden Light Rail Complex and the Haines Maintenance of Way Yard in Pennsauken. For these reasons an officer must be reasonability fit and in such condition that they can walk or stand for an extended time period, climb into and out of rail and motor vehicles, and carry traffic cones, barricades, and other equipment and supplies as needed. 

Training Requirements: 

Officers will be trained for their assignment at this location. However, they must also pass an “On Track Safety Course” and other company courses covering subjects like first aid, defensive driving, lock out/ tag out, and fire extinguishers. After their initial training; officers will be required to complete annual re-certification training, and review informational bulletins and Security Memos when issued.
