Position Summary:

Set up, assemble, or disassemble job-specific specialty machines/tools that include selecting proper gear and equipment based on the size, weight, dimensions, and area of movement that is necessary to safely secure machinery, tools, and equipment for relocation and/or transportation. Control, manipulate, fabricate, and repair machinery moving and support structures. Requires the use of hand, flag, and/or verbal signals to communicate to operators and others. Clean Room Machinery Movers/Riggers may drive a commercial vehicle, perform maintenance functions, assist in warehouse activities, or perform other tasks as necessary when not machinery moving. 

Clean Room Duties:

• Set up, assemble, disassemble, and move microchip and/or semiconductor facility machines/tools 
• Work in a highly sensitive environment among the multi-craft team to perform essential functions of the project
• Unloading trucks with forklifts will include uncrating, cleaning up, and disposing of crating material.
• Proper PPE Clean Room suit usage for ISO cleanroom environment standards.
• Ability to learn skating tools, air dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
• Detail and safety-oriented, understanding safety protocols and willing to follow customers' procedures.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education)

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• OSHA10 preferred (certification will be provided).
• Able to take direction and closely follow instructions.
• Visualize or predict the outcome of the job by using deductive and inductive reasoning.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment including hand, power, and pneumatic tools. Must be able to read or use a tape measure, levels, calipers & gauges, and use proper tools, as necessary.
• Correctly and safely use tools and equipment for proper weight-bearing work.
• Read blueprints, schematics, or technical manuals as required.
• Familiar with various hand or flag signals including their use and meaning.
• Willing to learn, know, and follow safety requirements, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment.
• A minimum of Three (3) years of Clean Room experience is required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

This is very physical, hands-on work. A Clean Room Machinery Mover/Rigger must be able to perform General Physical Activities — activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to work off the ground at varying heights, and not be affected by moving machinery or parts. Willing and able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment and/or outdoors in all types of weather, and over uneven ground or terrain.

The Clean Room Environment is a well-controlled workspace that is isolated from contaminants such as airborne particles, dust, and vaporized particles. Personal hygiene standards and clean room personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required for large portions of the shift to maintain ISO standards. Strict adherence to all protocols is required while working in a clean room environment.
