Job Description

MINIMUM 6 MONTHS EXPERIENCE AS A RIGGER.

Connect Staffing  is seeking an experienced Rigger for a company that provides quality, durable, and reliable wire products in the city of Wilmington, CA.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Requirements of a Rigger:

• Minimum 6 months experience as a rigger
• Should be physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, working at heights, and maintaining balance and coordination.
• Proficient in using rigging equipment, such as ropes, pulleys, hoists, and cranes. 
• Should also understand load calculations and weight distribution.
• Ability to inspect rigging equipment for wear and tear, ensuring all components are in safe working condition and properly secured.
• Prior experience in roles such as Rigging Technician, Crane Operator, Hoist Operator, Lift Supervisor, and Load Master is a huge plus!

Responsibilities of a Rigger:

• Installing and configuring rigging gear such as ropes, cables, pulleys, winches, and cranes to move heavy loads safely and efficiently.
• Conducting thorough inspections of rigging equipment before use to ensure it is in good condition and meets safety standards, identifying any wear and tear that could pose a risk.
• Determining the weight and balance of loads to ensure that the rigging setup can safely handle the weight without tipping or collapsing.
• Controlling and operating lifting machinery such as cranes and hoists, following precise movements to lift, move, and position heavy objects.
• Adhering to all safety regulations and protocols, providing clear hand signals to crane operators, and ensuring that the work area is safe for all personnel involved in lifting operations.
