Barrel & Bushel is a neighborhood restaurant serving handcrafted American favorites with a twist, purchasing local and creating handcrafted elements wherever possible. Our food is complemented by our barrel-forward drink selections, completed by 22 local and regional craft beers on tap, more than 30 bourbons, and handcrafted cocktails that will satisfy any palate. B&B is the perfect place for friends and large group gatherings alike in a lively open-air dining space with an outdoor patio. Located inside the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner, connected to the Tysons Corner Center Mall and popular outdoor plaza. We are seeking an energetic and caring leader, someone with knowledge and passion for service and elevated beverages.

The Restaurant Manager is leading the operations as the Department Head, providing oversight to the Assistant Restaurant Managers and the Front of House team. This position reports to the Food & Beverage Director. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Direct oversight of Barrel & Bushel Restaurant, B&B Market, and in Room Delivery. Oversight of operations in other hotel venues may be applicable, as necessary.  Maintain complete knowledge of all systems; including Point of Sales, reservations, timekeeping, tip tracking, payroll, private party  Comply and enhance all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.  Provide exceptional service and ensure guest satisfaction with dining experiences.  Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, according to Health Department  Ensure effective hiring, training, and continuous recruitment.  Develop, lead, and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service, ensuring employee satisfaction and continued engagement.
 Plan, coordinate & manage special events and holiday functions, both short and long-term planning.
 Develop and implement creative strategies for revenue enhancement and cost containment
 Order, Inventory, and maintain proper pars according to purchasing department guidelines and budget
 Work closely with the Chef de Cuisine and leadership to create exceptional culinary and guest experiences.  Maintain complete knowledge and strictly abide by Virginia ABC rules and regulations  Oversee beverage program with cocktail creation, unique beverage offerings with concise recipes, and consistent quality per standards.  Maintain complete knowledge and strictly abide by Virginia ABC rules and regulations  Promote positive work relationships with colleagues and other departments.
Skills and Qualifications:
 Full-time Management Position that requires full flexibility, the ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied schedule
 Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, including a working knowledge of point-of-sale systems  Demonstrate experience in leading and developing a team in restaurant operation
 Candidates should possess strong food and beverage knowledge. Beverage knowledge should include wine, spirits, and beer
 Initiative to run the outlets as a free-standing entity and maintain a high energy, positive, professional appearance
 Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or a Restaurant Supervisor in a high-volume seating
 Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, and effective in providing exceptional customer service
 A true desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast-paced environment  Thorough understanding of financial reports, including labor

Qualifications

• Full Time Management Position that requires full flexibility, ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied schedule

• Refined verbal and written communication skills

• Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, including a working knowledge of point of sale systems

• Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized

• Candidates should possess proven leadership skills

• Candidates should possess strong food and beverage knowledge.  Beverage knowledge should include wine, spirits and beer

• Hotel experience and a thorough understanding of restaurant service

• Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or a Restaurant Supervisor preferred
