About the Role:
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, selecting appropriate equipment, providing patient education, and ensuring the effective delivery of respiratory care. Your key responsibilities will include:
Training and assisting with daily operations, including ventilation management, patient intake, and quality assurance.
Receiving and documenting orders for equipment and services.
Assessing patient needs and recommending appropriate equipment.
Educating patients and caregivers on the proper use and care of equipment.
Communicating with physicians regarding patient conditions and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Traveling to various branches as needed to support business operations.
Tracking and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules for respiratory equipment.
Assisting with oxygen therapy visits.
Completing patient paperwork, including plans of care and home assessments.
Acting as a liaison between the company, patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
Conducting educational meetings and seminars.
Assisting with referrals to community agencies.
Developing and implementing discharge plans.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of third-party reimbursement, billing, and equipment.
Participating in on-call rotation and working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Overseeing all clinical functions performed by the company.
Performing other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
Integrity: A strong ethical compass and commitment to doing what's right.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program is essential.
Experience: Respiratory care experience and/or home care experience is preferred.
Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the home medical equipment field.
Skills:
Ability to effectively manage a range of respiratory products.
Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational, customer service, and time management skills.
Ability to work with a diverse patient population.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility.
Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Schedule:
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), typically Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Participation in an on-call rotation and flexibility to work overtime and weekends are required.
