Job Summary: The Research Assistant I assists with research work in support of a major research project under close supervision. Assists with ordering equipment and supplies. Aids in the set up equipment. Perform experiments. Monitors results. Collects data. Prepares support material.
Additional Department Summary: Conducts and assists with the design of research experiments. Manages IRB applications, participant recruitment and scheduling, data acquisition and analysis, and manuscript preparation.
Renewal is contingent upon demonstrated research productivity and availability of funds.Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to work weekends and evenings.
Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.Skills and Knowledge: Computer proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications: Some research experience. Experience working with human subjects.
