Position Summary:
Reporting to the LMS Manager, the Specialist provides support in Canvas, Zoom, and other academic technologies at Yeshiva University. The position is remote and works on Eastern Standard Time [New York]. The preferred schedule is Sunday - Thursday.
Position Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary resolution resource for Canvas LMS system
- Provide excellent customer service through the resolution of help desk tickets
- Administer technical support for Zoom, Canvas, and other technology projects as assigned
- Troubleshoot technical challenges
- Work with faculty at all levels of technical competence
- Develop and deliver training materials such as best practices for Canvas to faculty
- Continuous learning Canvas-related education technologies
Experience & Educational Background:
- High School Degree or GED
- Experience supporting Canvas at the university level
- Demonstrated knowledge of online learning and related applications
- Understanding of FERPA and other regulations applicable to higher education
Skills & Competencies:
- Self-driven and able to work autonomously
- Excellent customer support and time management skills
- Interest in academic technology
- Professionalism and high attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite
Salary Range:
$27.50 - $33.00 per hour
