Job Description

San Antonio, Texas based consumer products company seeks a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Manager that brings a job history and level of experience of driving Quality Program improvement to the Manufacturing Operation. Need an individual with extensive Root Cause Analysis experience with ability to problem solve as well as develop corrective action documentation and training.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Education in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science or related

• 5+ years experience working Quality Assurance field

• 5+ years experience in the food industry

• Experience with a consumer packaged goods company necessary

• Thorough understanding of plant production/manufacturing systems, cGMP, sanitation, plant safety, quality systems and Kosher regulations

• Working experience with SQF systems and audits

• Ability to write, implement and enforce HACCP procedures

• Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical mind

• Excellent computer skills, with working knowledge of MS Office

• Experience with food ingredient functionality and purpose a plus

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct department activities and prioritize the responsibilities and tasks of personnel

• Perform Internal audits; lead preparation for external audits; address non-conformists

• Develop plan, organize and conduct quality assurance training programs for the company

• Develop and implement new and existing quality assurance training material, policies and procedures; review, evaluate and modify existing and proposed programs

• Ensure that company records are complete, maintained and safeguarded according to Company standards

• Provide leadership and support for troubleshooting, new product initiation, line start-ups, new co-packer start-ups and process innovation

• Properly communicate with all levels and departments of the organization

• Maintain product confidentiality
