The White Moustache is a Brooklyn-based creator of artisanal yogurt. You will be joining a team of focused and dedicated individuals who take pride in knowing that each jar, bottle, and box is nothing short of perfection. We make every drop of yogurt in-house using locally-sourced milk, and utilize every drop of whey in innovative products and collaborations that help fight food waste and set an industry example. Position Summary : The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for implementing, and managing the quality control programs, procedures, and systems for the White Moustache. All functions and projects for this role are meant to ensure the quality and food safety of our products and compliance with all appropriate regulatory requirements. Reporting and communication to senior leadership is also a critical element of this role to ensure successful onboarding and consistency in operations. 

  Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1.   Process & Training
   1. Ensure that employees are adequately trained and that the proper records and documentation are maintained.
   2. Develop training materials and guide implementation of Standard Operating Procedures.
   3. Conduct in-depth training with all levels of employees within production operations.
   4. Working alongside production members daily,   lead an apprenticeship model of continuous training and quality control assurances.
   5. Ensure a culture of excellence within the manufacturing process alongside the Factory Manager and Operations Team Coordinator,.
   6. Enforce and monitor the adherence to all policies and procedures and deputize members of the team to support such efforts.
2. Compliance
   1. Leverage existing work completed to date to drive the formation of thorough and detailed compliance materials to cover all relevant regulations for food and human safety. 
   2. Develop organization of all materials, training and observation of employees to create a thorough level of knowledge for the team. 
3. Product Excellence
   1. Taste samples from every batch to ensure White Moustache products are consistently at the highest possible quality they can be.
   2. Maintain openness to trying different textures, tastes and ingredients to further develop your palette.
4. Projects & Initiatives
   1. Support and lead special projects and initiatives from time to time, providing guidance on operational, food and human safety and compliance matters. 

The ideal candidate: 

1. Demonstrate a commitment to quality, accuracy, and thoroughness.
2. Versatile in handling multiple tasks simultaneously in accordance with highest priority.
3. Ability to meet deadlines, which may require a flexible schedule, as extended working hours may be required during certain periods.
4. Has experience in a quality assurance role in a manufacturing or production setting with strict rules and processes. Note that this need not be a previous food industry position.

Physical Requirements & Expectations:

1. This role is in-person five days a week with occasional weekend days to oversee all operations. 
2. Must be on call for maintenance and factory emergencies on a mutually agreed upon schedule. 
3. Must be able to be on your feet 8 hours a day.
4. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
