Position Summary

The Sr. Project Manager applies professional principles, practices, and techniques in accordance with Amplifys project governance. The Sr. PM will be required to lead project teams and control project schedule, cost, and performance risks to ensure satisfied customers. This role has ultimate responsibility for all assigned projects and manages customer satisfaction, definition, planning, monitoring, resource allocation, and other aspects of a project. This role is expected to effectively manage up to 5 concurrent projects of major scope, typically lasting 3 to 18 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties as assigned.

  • Works with PM leadership to develop and maintain proper project methodologies, templates, and documentation and governance for the PMO
  • Drives development and execution of project plans by working with project team to define, sequence, and estimate duration of activities and determine schedules to meet business and project objectives
  • Effectively engages Amplify business analysts, business units, IT infrastructure/security and Operations teams to provide needs assessments, program / project planning and management for delivery of Amplify projects
  • Accountable for cost estimation and control, budget development, prioritization, coordination, and management of multiple related projects directed toward strategic business objectives
  • Works with Business Analysts to develop functional, interface, conversion, and infrastructure requirements as well as manage execution of internal and external change requests and other deliverables and milestones per contractual project work plans and schedules
  • Manages all aspects of the project execution including: chartering, scope definition, requirements gathering, project planning, change control, and risk management and provides status reporting on project milestones and deliverables to senior leadership and customers
  • Identifies, monitors, mitigates and resolves project risk, issues, dependencies, constraints, assumptions, and delays; escalates issues to both client and internal senior management stakeholders as appropriate
  • Establishes software development processes and metrics that measure and improve team performance
  • Ensures adherence to consistent processes, standards, and total quality practices
  • Proactively communicates project status, issues and risks to management; conducts regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholders needs and requirements continuously in view
  • Follows departmental policies, procedures and methodologies
  • Works in tandem with team members to ensure resource constraints are monitored and work is delegated team members in a timely fashion
  • Upholds credit union policies and procedures and champions organizational culture both internally and externally

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university. A minimum of four years of project management experience required; project management experience in the financial and/or software development industry is a plus.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must be bondable. PMP certification preferred

Software and Equipment Requirements

Proficiency in MS Project, Visio, and other MS Office products is required.

Must have reliable internet access of 50MBPS which is the minimum speed required to connect to several of our systems and platforms.

Other Qualifications

Must be able to work flexible hours as needed and available in emergency situations. Must have demonstrated ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting credit union expectations.

The person in this position frequently operates a computer and uses equipment such as photocopiers, printers, and the telephone. The employee frequently interacts with managers, team members, and vendors and must be able to exchange accurate information in written and verbal forms via telephone, email, and in person. The employee frequently moves about the office to access files and office productivity equipment such as photocopiers and printers. The employee frequently analyzes data provided online or in printed reports to determine the best course of action.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position is eligible to work on a fully remote basis at the discretion of the credit union.

Pay & Benefits

This position offers a pay range of $80,000-$100,000 annually. It also entails the benefits available to all Amplify employees, including a 401(k) with a company match of 100% on the first 5% you contribute.
