As a Project Management (PM) Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting our project managers, ensuring smooth operations, and leading by example. You will distribute work evenly, address client concerns, and provide coaching and mentorship to your team to foster their growth. Additionally, you will contribute to shaping company policies and implementing them to ensure the success of the entire team.

You have experience with genealogy software, like RootsMagic, or are eager to learn.
You have a quiet, distraction-free work environment with reliable internet.
Bonus points if:
You hold a Bachelor's Degree or have equivalent work experience.
You have experience in genealogical research or knowledge of genetic genealogy.

What You'll Do as a Manager
Lead a team of Project Managers, ensuring they maintain positive relationships with clients and successfully manage projects from start to finish.
Monitor team productivity and workload, ensuring each team member is supported and engaged.
Assess team performance and recommend raises or promotions based on their progress and contributions.
Help identify when additional team members are needed, participating in the hiring process from interviews to training.
Provide ongoing training and mentorship to help team members improve their skills and performance.
Conduct team meetings, weekly check-ins, and one-on-one reviews to foster professional development.
Contribute to departmental, managerial, and cross-departmental meetings, helping draft and implement company policies and processes.
Maintain an active client load, managing your own billable hours and offering guidance to your team when they face project-related challenges.
Continuously identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to improve project management processes.
What You'll Do as a Project Manager (since Managers maintain an active client load)
Act as the primary liaison between the company and clients, establishing strong relationships.
Manage active projects through a streamlined workflow process using project management software.
Ensure edited reports meet client expectations and needs.
Foster client relationships and pursue renewal sales, earning commissions for these sales.
Tackle client and team concerns with creative solutions, contributing to positive project outcomes.
Embrace change and adopt new practices to meet goals and resolve challenges.
Work towards achieving individual and team targets, contributing to the team's overall success.
What Working with Us Will Be Like
This position is 100% remote with occasional company and leadership retreats (and you might be asked to take charge of part of these retreats).
Managers can set their own hours but should be available during regular business hours to support team members.
The position is expected to be part-time (25-29 hours per week), with the possibility of transitioning to full-time (40 hours) as the workload increases.
