Job Description

JOB LOCATION:

The Zone located at Orange Preparatory Academy, NJ

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for day to day management of SBYSP.
  2. Report and update Manager and Director of Programs on the status of program (s).
  3. Facilitate SBYSP team meetings, Case Conferences and CLB (Community Liaison Board) meetings and keep minutes of each meeting.
  4. Manage and assist in program related training needs and issues to ensure continuity of quality in program.
  5. Assess and address risk management concerns and issues according to agency policies.
  6. Assist the Human Resources Manager with the hiring, training, disciplining, evaluating, and motivating clinical staff.
  7. Manage all program budget and finance affairs in conjunction with the Director of Programs, Finance Team and CFO.
  8. Shop for program via online or in person as needed to ensure uninterrupted services and continuous running of program (s).
  9. Commitment to the Quality Improvement process, including participation on the steering committee and at least one sub-committee. As well as supporting program staff participation.
  10. Provide clinical and crisis stabilization services.
  11. Committed to empowering students and their families to solve their own problems and to the value of a nurturing family as the ideal environment for a child.
  12. Refer students and their families to appropriate services.
  13. Manage respective programs’ MIS (Management Information System) input data and ensure all information is entered accurately and within funder given timeframes.
  14. Collaborate with school and local community for events and activities to provide most comprehensive services.
  15. Interface with school administration, guidance, CST, and any other appropriate school district staff regularly to promote continued relationships, collaborative efforts and growth of the SBYSP.
  16. Market program in the school and community.
  17. Complete all required paperwork in a timely fashion including but not limited to, Record Reviews, Quarterly funder reports, yearly contract documents, QI documents, monthly calendars, school district advertisements, and other program and agency related items.
  18. Demonstrate timely attendance to all required meetings and participate as a part of the interdisciplinary team.
  19. Attend all State funder required meetings as scheduled.
  20.   21. Review, sign and adhere to the Agency’s HIPPA/Confidentiality requirements, as outlined in the Agency’s Confidentiality Agreement.

  23. Perform other duties as required.

Specifications:

Education: Master’s in Social Work; LSW, LCSW or equivalent Master’s Degree in Human Services.

Experience: Two years experience providing psychotherapy to children and families.  Experience with diverse populations in an urban setting.

Knowledge: Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and various treatment modalities, including group, family and individual treatment.  Knowledge of community resources, social service, and mental health systems.  Knowledge of appropriate clinical interventions in a crisis and non-crisis situation.  Knowledge of appropriate treatment interventions for victims of sexual abuse, individuals suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, juvenile sexual offenders.  Knowledge of Family Systems Theory.

Skills & Abilities :  Ability to conduct psychiatric and psychosocial assessments and to make a differential diagnosis. Ability to provide clients with assistance in obtaining concrete services.  Ability to create a case formulation and treatment plan.  Ability to assess children and families for sexual and physical abuse.  Good written and oral communications skills.  Ability to create a warm, non threatening therapeutic atmosphere.  Ability to set limits with clients.  Willingness to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.  Understanding of professional ethics and issues of confidentiality.  Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team.  Ability to provide clinical and programmatic support and supervision. 

Work Environment/Physical Demands: The individual must possess the ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of up to or in excess of 50 pounds.
