We are seeking a Product Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join our team and help us craft and optimize communications strategies and tactics across all channels, especially email and SMS. Your mission will be to drive the conversion of registered users to paid subscriptions and retain existing paid subscribers through engaging and personalized content.
**Responsibilities:**
- **User Segmentation and Personalization:** Create and maintain user segmentation to ensure the delivery of relevant and personalized email content to different user groups based on their behavior, preferences, and stage in the customer life cycle.
- **Conversion-Focused Campaigns:** Develop and execute campaigns across the entire user journey via email, SMS, and other channels, focusing on converting registered users into paid subscribers by highlighting the value propositions and benefits of our premium features and services.
- **Retention-Focused Campaigns:** Design and implement retention campaigns to keep existing paid subscribers engaged, informed, and satisfied with the product, and reduce churn rate.
- **Testing and Optimization:** Regularly perform A/B testing to optimize email elements like subject lines, content, and calls to action. Analyze data to make data-driven decisions for future campaigns.
- **Performance Monitoring and Reporting:** Track and analyze the performance of email campaigns using relevant KPIs (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and retention rates). Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with the Product, Sales, and Content teams to ensure alignment in messaging and to leverage insights that can enhance email campaign strategies.
- **Compliance and Best Practices:** Ensure that all email campaigns comply with applicable laws and regulations (such as CAN-SPAM and GDPR), and adhere to email marketing best practices.
- **User Feedback:** Implement mechanisms for collecting feedback from users through emails, and liaise with the Product team for incorporating this feedback to improve the product and services.
- **Automation and Scalability:** Automate email and other channel campaign processes and workflows to scale efforts efficiently and ensure timely communication with users.
- **Educational Content:** Coordinate with the Content team to include relevant educational materials, tips, and resources in emails that provide value to subscribers.
- **Martech, Database/CRM:** Develop, own, and drive the martech, database/CRM roadmap.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Product Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 2-5 years of experience in programmatic email, SMS, etc. marketing, with a focus on life cycle campaigns.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful email, SMS, etc. campaigns that drive user conversion and retention.
- At least one year of experience with iterable.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in email marketing tools and platforms, as well as knowledge of CRM systems.
- Understanding of email deliverability and compliance regulations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with a strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the education technology industry is a plus.
