Let's Talk! Child Development Center is seeking dynamic, creative, and skilled PreSchool DIrector for a unique, “first of its kind” approach to preschool in Las Vegas. Let’s Talk! Child Development Center offers inclusive, customized instruction programs and welcomes typical and neurodiverse students . The Let’s Talk! Child Development Center Director is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center’s care. The Center Director is directly accountable for overall operational management in accordance with well-established guidelines, including curriculum development, staff and facilities management, legal and budgetary considerations, and long range planning. The Center Director ensures that the needs of the students and the goals of the center are met appropriately.
This position reports to the Let’s Talk! Child Development Center CEO.
Key Responsibilities
Assume duties of the Teachers and Staff as needed during their absence.
Uphold company vision for the center. Manage adherence to quality standards in accordance with the vision and with state and local requirements.
Maintain a QRIS star rating of level 4.
Promote the educational curriculum; collaborate with staff to promote a positive learning environment; manage adherence to state and local regulations.
Manage the staff to maintain student records in accordance with established enrollment procedures and guidelines.
Maintain communications with parents of current and prospective students through direct conversation, newsletters and parent handbook; implement community outreach activities to maintain and promote positive community relationships.
Provide prompt notification to parents regarding incident/accident/illness reports.
Record and submit the food and paper products inventory. Ensure adherence to the proper weeks’ menu. Maintain Health Department standards and compliance in the kitchen and throughout facility.
Maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies; ensure legal and financial compliance.
Work in collaboration with Let’s Talk! Executive Team for all office functions including payroll, licensing requirements, staff scheduling and labor control, human resources and personnel management (staff supervision) and supply inventory and ordering.
Resolve conflicts (including corrective action when necessary) to ensure a positive experience for everyone.
Maintain illness and emergency procedures; ensure staff are trained appropriately.
Implement strategic plan and goals in keeping with mission of program.
Maintain personal professional development plan for all staff to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Any additional duties will be directed from the Let’s Talk! Executive Team.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
3-5 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting.
High energy.
Strong oral and written communications skills; technology skills.
Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
A strong understanding of child development.
Strong finance and budgeting skills.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
A Negative One-Step TB test result.
Must meet all continued education requirements and NV childcare licensing requirements.
Must maintain and hold a 3.1 or higher on the Nevada Registry Career Ladder.
Must clear full background check.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE.
