The Opportunity

Were seeking an experienced Patent Agent (HighTech) to join one of our esteemed clients in their San Diego office . This role offers the chance to work on cuttingedge technologies helping innovators protect their intellectual property. Youll leverage your technical expertise to draft prosecute and manage patents in advanced tech fields including telecommunications software and AI.

What Youll Do

• Lead with Expertise : Review invention disclosures conduct prior art searches and analyze patentability.
• Draft and Prosecute : Prepare patent applications and respond to USPTO office actions including conducting examiner interviews.
• Analyze and Innovate : Conduct due diligence and freedomtooperate analyses providing strategic guidance to clients.
• Collaborate for Success : Manage U.S. and foreign dockets and work closely with clients to protect and expand their IP portfolios.

What You Bring to the Table

• Experience :
  • At least 2 years of patent prosecution experience in hardware and devices software AI wireless tech and/or image/signal processing.
  • 4G/5G telecommunications experience required .
• Education & Certification :
  • USPTO admission required.
  • Prior work in a law firm strongly preferred.
• Skills :
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong professionalism in engaging with demanding clients.

Your Skillset

• Technical Expertise : Background in computer science computer engineering or electrical engineering with a deep understanding of advanced technologies.
• Patent Proficiency : Extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patents managing dockets and conducting due diligence analyses.
• Collaboration & Communication : Ability to engage effectively with teams and clients to deliver exceptional results.
