Stratpharma is a specialty Medical Device company specializing in advanced wound dressings. Reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer and Chief Commercial Officer-North America, the MSL serves as a field-based clinical and medical expert for the business. The individual will be responsible for appropriately engaging in medical and scientific exchange and gaining insights in support of Stratpharmas existing business areas, research areas, and disease state of interest. The MSL will be required to develop and maintain relationships with medical experts in the fields of Oncology supporting Care [Radiation and Clinical] oncology, Surgery and Specialty wound care, Dermatology, Women’s Health and other medical disciplines related to the management of patients within the Company products. Through scientific exchange, the MSL will communicate and advance the scientific platform aligned with the overall medical communications and Medical Affairs strategies. Every day will be different!
This is an office based role in San Diego, though regular interaction with stakeholders in international locations and local/regional/national travel is expected.
Tasks
• The identification and communication of research gaps, opportunities and relevant field intelligence to inform medical strategy
• On-site or virtual training/presentations for stakeholders (external but also internal)
• Meetings with KOL doctors, regulators and insurance companies
• Attendance and organization of national and international congress
• Implementation of clinical trials
• Leveraging your expertise to enhance and broaden knowledge among internal and external stakeholders
• Attending medical/scientific meetings to represent Medical Affairs with KOLs and other HCPs [Doctors, Physicians Assistants and Nurse Practitioners]
• Scouting / identification / evaluation of trialing sites for new indications, new products or lifecycle management of existing products
• Supporting cross-functional colleagues (commercial, marketing, clinical operations) in appropriate activities
Requirements
To be considered, you will ideally have:
• An advanced scientific, healthcare, or medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, RN).
• Experience as an MSL
• Experience in radiation therapy and/or oncology supportive care, women’s health or wound care
• Demonstrated ability to build productive collaborations with medical experts.
• Knowledge of regulations and practices related to industry interactions with healthcare professionals.
• Valid driver’s license.
