We’re looking for an experienced massage therapist to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is well-versed in different types of massage and massage techniques, and is attentive to each client’s needs and physical condition. Responsibilities: • Offer supplementary services or products that complement the client’s treatment plan • Treat clients safely and effectively using the appropriate therapeutic massage techniques that meet their needs • Support a positive working environment for both clients and staff through relationship building and team development • Evaluate each client’s physical condition, stress level, and medical history to determine the most effective types of massage for their course of treatment • Offer general wellness maintenance advice to clients such as stretching and strengthening techniques • Perform various massage techniques to provide relaxation and pain relief for clients • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for clients • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences for each session • Recommend and sell appropriate spa products to enhance clients' relaxation experiences • Uphold high standards of customer service to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty Qualifications: • Must have experience in different types of massage techniques such as deep tissue massage, sports massage, Swedish massage, and reflexology • High school diploma or equivalent • Licensure must comply with state and local laws and regulations • Over one year of work experience as a massage therapist • Massage therapy program completion preferred • The role requires a current NYS license with prior customer service and/or hotel experience preferred • Physical requirements include the ability to work long hours, mostly on your feet. Medium work -- exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, ability to multi-task • Must possess the ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body and arms, moving quickly and agilely if a situation arises requiring quick assistance • Will work under variable temperatures and noise levels (although treatment rooms are mostly quiet and relaxing with soft music playing) • Near Vision - the ability to see details at close range • Must be able to convey and understand information and ideas in English About Company: When you become part of the Woodcliff team, you enter into a rich tradition of extraordinary hospitality that spans over 35 years.
