With five locations, we pride ourselves on using high-quality ingredients, hospitality and creating a welcoming space for our customers. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a dedicated Kitchen Prep team member to help support our kitchen operations.

Job Overview:

The Kitchen Prep role is perfect for someone looking to begin a career in food preparation or kitchen operations. No prior experience is required—we are happy to provide on-the-job training! You will be working closely with our kitchen team to ensure the efficient preparation of food items and assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Prep: Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, chopping, and organizing ingredients for dishes like sandwiches, salads, pastries, and breakfast items.
• Ingredient Organization: Ensure all ingredients are stocked, labeled, and stored properly in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Kitchen Cleanliness: Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including cleaning surfaces, dishes, and kitchen tools.
• Support Team: Work alongside the kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation, helping with any tasks as needed.
• Quality Control: Assist in ensuring all food items are prepared according to Stereoscope’s quality standards and recipes.
• Other Responsibilities: Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support the kitchen or overall operations of Stereoscope Coffee.

Skills & Qualifications:

• No experience required: We’re happy to train you! A positive attitude and eagerness to learn are more important than experience.
• Attention to detail: Ability to follow instructions and handle food carefully and efficiently.
• Team player: Comfortable working as part of a team and communicating with colleagues.
• Physical stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs).
• Time management: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Food Safety Awareness: A basic understanding of food safety and hygiene (training will be provided if necessary).
