Job Description

We're representing a boutique Investment Bank in their search to hire an IB Analyst in either Cleveland, Detroit, or Nashville. This IB Analyst will support the execution of mid/lower-mid market M&A transactions across various industries.

This is a great opportunist for finance professionals, 1-3 years into their career, that are looking to set themselves up for a long-term career in Investment Banking. The firm offers strong, collaborative culture and a clear path for this individual to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including valuation, financial modeling, and due diligence.
• Prepare detailed pitch books, presentations, and transaction documents for client meetings.
• Assist in the execution of M&A transactions, including coordinating with clients, legal advisors, and other stakeholders.
• Perform industry and company research to support transaction strategies and identify potential opportunities.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, financial news, and relevant industry developments.
• Support senior bankers in client relationship management and business development activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with M&A transactions and familiarity with the deal process.
• Knowledge of financial databases and research tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ).
