Job Description
Job Title: Accounting Specialist
Responsibilities - Reviews a high volume of data daily to ensure information from the stores is received and reconciles the stores' details to various other data points or to vendors' statements.
- Reviews exceptions to determine the root cause of the exception and to determine solutions to resolve the issue.
- Reviews and works through cases by coordinating across accounting departments.
- Timely review and accurate assessments are essential. This position requires highly developed analytical skills and to resolve complex reconciliation situations on a routine basis. This position is expected to fully understand and execute within established departmental internal control processes and procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of the reconciliation process with a high degree of understanding.
- Has an accurate understanding of how the data points impact the stores' financial statement.
- Maintains files of journal entries and reports.
- Assists Team Leader, team members and management with special projects as needed. Provide cross training to team members on job duties as well as assist team with job duties during high volume periods.
- Provides follow-up through complete resolution.
Essential Skills - Proficiency in reconciliations, accounts payable, invoicing, billing, and accounts receivable.
- 1+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work environment with 1 day in the office and 4 days remote.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00
