Job Description
Role Overview: As a Digital Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the digital marketing strategy of Beyond Type 1 on various digital channels, including web properties, email, paid media, organic social media, SEO and other digital platforms. You will leverage marketing automation platforms to create automated, scalable, and replicable marketing processes.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive brand awareness, grow our audience, meet programmatic goals and optimize campaign performance through data-driven approaches. You will provide data and analysis to various internal and external stakeholders, assessing performance for optimum ROI. We are looking for a creative thinker with a strong understanding of digital marketing trends, a passion for delivering results, and the ability to leverage emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Website Operations (30%)
- Create, edit, and enhance website pages, optimizing for programmatic, partner, and/or organizational KPIs; performs all everyday operations (page edits, landing page creation, form creation etc.).
- Manage day-to-day relationship with marketing agency for complex website edits/adjustments (technical edits, new tool implementation, etc.).
- Create and update programmatic landing pages based on program needs.
- Collaborate with Content Specialist to ensure SEO best practices are implemented.
- Conduct biannual website audits in partnership with agency to identify areas for improvement, including content gaps, usability issues, and technical optimizations.
- Monitor website performance using analytics tools, track key metrics such as traffic, time on site, and conversions, and make data-driven recommendations for enhancements.
- Email Strategy and Execution (30%)
- In partnership with the Director of Digital Marketing, develop and execute a strategic email marketing plan, including segmentation, content creation, automation workflows, and performance tracking.
- Build nurture emails within marketing automation platform that support organizational goals.
- Direct digital agency on workflows and automation support needed to create email journeys.
- Develop and maintain an email marketing calendar to ensure timely and relevant communication with target audiences.
- Oversee proper email list segmentation in partnership with agency based on customer profiles, behavior, and engagement levels to deliver personalized and targeted campaigns.
- Create compelling email content, subject lines, and CTAs to drive engagement and conversions.
- Test email campaigns through A/B testing in order to form insights on best performing tactics.
- Provide data reporting to various internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all email communications adhere to accessibility and CAN-SPAM standards.
- Reporting & Analytics (20%)
- Collaborate with the Director of Digital Marketing, fractional CIO, marketing agency and other internal stakeholders to establish a comprehensive reporting framework, including key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and regular reporting schedules.
- Gather and analyze data from various sources, including website analytics, paid media platforms, email marketing tools, and other relevant sources, to derive actionable insights.
- Collaborate with the Director of Digital Marketing to plan and present reports on digital marketing performance to stakeholders, highlighting key trends, successes, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with overall business goals.
- Search Engine Optimization (10%)
- Perform keyword research to identify relevant keywords and phrases users search for to incorporate into website content, titles, meta descriptions, and URLs to improve search engine visibility.
- Optimize individual web pages by adjusting content, headings, image alt tags, and internal linking to align with target keywords and improve search engine crawling.
- Collaborate with content creators to develop high-quality content that aligns with SEO goals, including keyword placement and relevant backlinks.
- Design and rollout backlink strategy, acquiring links from high-quality websites to enhance the Beyond Type 1 website's authority and credibility in the eyes of search engines.
- Paid Media Execution/Support (10%)
- Assist the Director of Digital Marketing in executing a comprehensive paid media strategy, targeting relevant audiences and driving measurable results.
- Attend bi-weekly paid media meetings with digital agency, collaborating on optimization efforts to maximize ROI on ad spend.
- Research, identify and cultivate relationships with new paid media vendors, including but not limited to email rental lists, CTV and open source forums (Reddit, Discord).
- Monitor campaign performance and make data-driven adjustments to optimize results.

- May require travel 10% of the time to fulfill key responsibilities.
- Support Director in the next iteration of community apps, including but not limited to: audit of current format, identification of best channel for community, and implementation of new strategy.
- Support Director in launching a digital human with assistance from external vendors.
Desired Qualifications:
- Organized critical-thinker and problem-solver.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and other marketing data analytics tools (i.e. Segment, Looker Studio, and Hubspot)
- Experience designing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Ability to create, edit, and optimize web properties to deliver desired results.
- Deep knowledge of email marketing best practices and automation creation.
- Excellent analytical skills and strong understanding of digital marketing data.
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Flexibility in managing time-sensitive requests.
- The ideal person has knowledge of diabetes either through their own lived experience or through supporting a close family member.
Salary range is $100k-$110k, DOE and location.
