We have a Direct Hire open for a Commercial Project Manager.
Location – Metro MD/DC area
We are looking for a specialty contractor that works in the commercial and residential construction industry. We are experts in insulation, spray foam, air barriers, roofing, rain screens, specialty claddings and facades. We are family owned and operated and have been for four generations. The responsibilities and requirements for the position of Project Manager are not limited to what's below:
Responsibilities
- Oversee the timely and quality installation of roofing and wall cladding materials (metal panels, phenolic panels, fiber cement, etc.) on multiple commercial construction projects
- Implement a culture of safety and quality among Cameron employees and sub-contractors and conduct regular on-site inspections to ensure all work conditions are in compliance with company, contract and government regulations
- Create and manage a plan to successfully sequence work, manage jobsite logistics and track materials and personnel
- Ensure a high quality of work consistent with project and company standards
- Develop, update and communicate the project schedule and exhibit a command of critical schedule milestones with other project team members
- Possess working knowledge of the subcontracts and vendor agreements
- Participate in close-out activities including punch list
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to develop detailed project plans and schedules.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues and implement effective strategies to resolve any concerns.
Resource Management
- Effectively allocate resources, including manpower, equipment and materials, to ensure optimal project performance.
- Perform regular inspections of project sites to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Commercial Construction working directly with roofing and wall panels (metal panels, phenolic panels, fiber cement panels, etc.)
- Experience with directing or installing roofing and specialty cladding materials
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and details
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage
diverse teams effectively.
- Solid understanding of project management principles and scheduling
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various project locations as required
- Track record with large and upscale commercial projects
