Job Description

Position: Bookkeeper
Salary: $20-$28 per hour

We are looking for a motivated and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. In this important role, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth operation of our financial processes. As a Bookkeeper, you'll work closely with our finance team to ensure the company's financial health and contribute to its continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain Financial Records: Accurately record financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
2. Reconcile Accounts: Perform monthly bank reconciliations, addressing discrepancies in a timely manner.
3. Prepare Financial Reports: Create monthly and quarterly financial statements and reports to provide clear insights into the company's financial performance.
4. Manage Invoices and Payments: Process invoices, track expenses, and ensure prompt payments to vendors and contractors.
5. Support Audits: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software, ensuring a high level of attention to detail.
2. Budget Tracking: Help monitor and manage budgets to support the achievement of financial goals.
3. Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax documents, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
4. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in the valuation of stock and supplies.
5. Communication: Collaborate with vendors, clients, and internal departments to address financial inquiries and maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
