The Athletics Performance Analyst assists the Executive Deputy Athletic Directors in the overall assessment and evaluation of sport performance across the department by ensuring efficient resource allocation, improving recruiting outcomes, and fostering strong external relationships. By providing critical data analysis and strategic recommendations, this position supports informed decision-making, helping LSU Athletics remain competitive and sustainable while maintaining strong connections with alumni and key stakeholders.

35% Work closely with the Executive Deputy ADs to evaluate and assess the overall performance of each sports program; Track and analyze financial investments in each sport, including budget allocation for operations, scholarships, and institutional Name, Image, and Likeness investments, pending approval of the House vs. NCAA settlement; Compile detailed financial reports to identify trends, spending efficiency, and return on investment across sports; Prepare and develop presentations for various stakeholders, both internal and external, to facilitate informed decision-making and enhance communication regarding program performance; Ensure accurate tracking of departmental metrics to assess ongoing progress and identify areas for resource reallocation or enhancement.

35% Oversee the tracking and analysis of recruiting efforts across all sport programs, ensuring that investments in recruiting resources are effectively aligned with performance goals; Collaborate with coaches and sport program administrators to gather data on recruiting trends, results, and the competitive landscape; Prepare annual recruiting performance assessments and reports that evaluate the effectiveness of resources (personnel, technology, facilities) relative to athlete performance and team success; Develop recommendations for reallocation of resources based on recruiting data, helping to guide budgetary decisions and ensure long-term sustainability of recruiting strategies.

15% Provide direct support to the Director of Letterwinner Engagement in managing the LSU National L Club, the official association for former LSU athletes (letterwinners); Help administer the day-to-day operations of the L Club, including membership management, event planning, and communication strategies aimed at engaging alumni athletes; Ensure timely and effective outreach, address inquiries, and foster a strong connection between former athletes and the current athletics community; Support the planning and execution of special events, reunions, and networking opportunities for L Club members; Assist with efforts to grow the L Club's membership base and create strategies to keep letterwinners involved in supporting LSU athletics initiatives.

10% Support the Executive Director of External Relations in managing external communication and outreach strategies, including collaboration with governmental bodies and agencies; Act as a liaison between the athletics department and external stakeholders, including donors and program supporters; Maintain relationships with key partners and ensure the university's interests are represented in all communications.

5% Advance and support LSU and Athletics Department initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as participation in the transformational culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department; Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with five years experience in a collegiate or professional athletics environment, sports administration, business operations, financial management, or a related field. Ability to understand competitive success within the context of collegiate or professional sports and the correlation between success and the return on investment. Demonstrated elite collegiate or professional athletic success as a player, coach, or administrator. Familiarity with professional sport contracts and contract negotiations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of NCAA rules and compliance as they pertain to recruiting, scholarships, and athlete engagement.

Special or Physical Requirements:

Ability to work extended days and weekends.
