The Alternate Contractor Special Security Officer (ACSSO) position will work under the guidance and direction of the Security Manager and Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO). The assignments of the ACSSO are focused on supporting the administration of a robust security program for several projects in a dynamic environment.
As the Alternate Contractor Special Security Officer, you will make impacts in the following ways; - Support the implementation of all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on ICD's & DoD Manuals and exhibits the dedication and expectation of a skilled security professional while working under the direct supervision of the CSSO.
- Interact with internal and external customers or Government security officials in performance of security duties. Success in this position will prepare you for future CSSO & CPSO opportunities.
- P hysical security, information security, security education and awareness, document & media control, personnel security, data transfers, visitor control, maintaining security files, handling & processing classified documents, and other security support activities as assigned by the CSSO.
- Preparing and conducting Program Security Awareness Briefings and developing security plans, goals, and objectives to comply with existing directives and future requirements. The ACSSO will brief and indoctrinate program personnel on the proper application of security procedures, interpret and provide classification guidance to employees, participate in self-inspections as well as CSA reviews, and investigate security incidents.
- Support for other security related tasks is expected as assigned by the Security Manager and the CSSO. Work will be conducted in a normal office environment; may work extended hours and be on call for after-hours support. Local travel throughout the Southern New Hampshire region will be required routinely. Other travel may be required on a very limited basis.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Active Top Secret Clearance (within a 5 year scope)
- Demonstrate understanding of the ICD's & DoD SAP Manuals.
- Knowledge and demonstrated application of the U.S. Government security standards.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Top Secret//SCI clearance
- Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions
- Must have a professional demeanor, good people skills, and ability to communicate effectively, and be able to perform in a multi-tasked, dynamic environment
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $64130 - $109010

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
