DESCRIPTION

Amazon Ads seeks a creative, self-motivated, high-judgment, well-connected and experienced public relations professional to drive communications for its growing portfolio of artificial intelligence (AI) products and services. As AI PR Manager, you will provide communications counsel to, and partner with, business leaders to craft and implement programs that educate and inspire our audiences.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and executing owned and earned communications strategies, tactics, and content; ongoing media relations; collaborating with stakeholders across a variety of Amazon communications and business teams; and working with our international teams to help extend and localize programs for their regions. You will help us showcase the breadth and depth of our AI investments and innovations, and increase the quantity and quality of stories we can tell through campaigns that drive coordinated, multi-channel AI storytelling.

The ideal candidate enjoys diving deep into technology, is customer-obsessed with high-judgment, and possesses excellent communications, media relations, and project management skills. The candidate should also have a strong understanding of how to leverage earned, owned, paid and social media to scale impact; and have experience working to high standards under tight deadlines.

Key job responsibilities
- Define, develop, and oversee end-to-end execution of PR strategy and programs to drive awareness for Amazon Ads AI offerings
- Provide strategic PR counsel and support to business leaders
- Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges
- Work cross-functionally to plan and execute PR campaigns
- Serve as a global liaison for international PR teams, helping to support international plans, service launches, and cross-functional PR campaigns
- Ensure factually accurate representation of an expanding portfolio of Amazon Ads services in technology press
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key journalists, bloggers, and evaluators in technology trade and business press
- Support development and execution of events and media engagements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
- Business-to-business technology PR experience
- Experience proactively managing a current network of media contacts
